I fell in love with this song when it came out last year. It kicks off the playlist that I attempt to fall asleep to every night. I just love the opening line "someway, baby, it's part of me, apart from me."
But recently I discovered their set from Coachella and it gave me a new appreciation of the song. How well the band recreates the sound live...how many instruments and voices it takes to make this song come together and really the little nuances, like how how the three guitarists step up to the mic and sing, and then step back in unison...how Justin Vernon gets a little groove going that doesn't exist in the recorded version. I'm going to honor both versions here, but I encourage everyone to spend 53 minutes watching this set. Such amazing musicianship...compositions more than songs, if that makes sense.
